Aish & Kesh Mehndi
Potpourri of culture
Jan, 29th – The day Aishwarya and Keshav got married, we witnessed a perfect amalgamation of Malyali and Nepali cultures. Marriage is a union of two families and in this case two cultures. It was a visual treat to see the all the ceremonies being conducted in both the styles in its truest form.
How they met?
Aish and Kesh have lived a perfect fairytale love story which twigged from Bangalore ,their high school city. 13 years of their relationship saw all the phases including long distance, career planning and decision to get married. Bangalore being the city which brought them together, It was not a very difficult decision for the couple to chose this as their destination to get married.
Aish, half Nepali- half Malyali had a tough choice choosing which style she wanted to get married in. On the other hand, Kesh being from Kerala wanted an authentic malyali wedding. It was then that the responsibility to weave both the cultures beautifully into the wedding was placed in the hands of PoonamMayankSharma. They decided to go ahead and have two weddings to suit the requirement which would be complemented by a contemporary style of Mehandi and Reception.
The series of celebrations began with Mehandi planned at the poolside of Taj Westend. It was a mesmerizing sight to see the yellow day light complementing the bright and fresh decor created using flowers, umbrellas and pots. The bride looked graceful dressed in a beautiful white and yellow lehanga. The poolside ambience and sweet-hearted celebrations completed the event.
